Is depression a choice?

This seems a little harsh, who would want to choose depression.

However the choice to be depressed is not made consciously, it is made as a result of messages recieved into your sub-concious over time. You can become depressed if you are consistently experiencing a lack of hope for the future.

  • A job that gets you down
  • Bereavement, separation
  • Divorce
  • Relationship problems
  • Lack of self-esteem
  • Lack of confidence
  • the list is endless.

Whatever you are experiencing the mind is receiving a message that all is not well through your thoughts. Those thoughts are reinforced through the way you walk sit and the way you speak. Remember the mind is always looking and listening.

Whatever messages it is getting it will then provide you with whatever you are focused on. When a doctor then tells you that you are depressed your mind now has full permission to be that depressed person.

Depression has been brought on by how we represent the world internally. No matter how hard life gets there is always good to be found or greats things to create, there is always hope and there is always a set of steps that can be taken to get your life just the way you want it.

Can we choose not to be depressed?

The answer is yes, to remove depression we have to take constant actions to give our minds messages that equal the opposite to depression. You can’t focus on being happy and being sad at the same time…Try it…! So if you had a choice which would you choose?

Make a great choice today, choose not to have depression and discover how remove it and gain more than you ever though was possible today.
