‘Initially I went to Stephen with a sole focus on saving my marriage as my husband wanted a divorce whilst I felt I could not let go of the 14 years’ relationship without giving it a second chance.
My husband was determined to exit and refused to join the Marriage Breakthrough Programme with me, therefore I was left with no choice but to take up the 12-session programme myself in the hope that his position might change when he sees the changes in me.
Stephen took me on a journey of self-discovery and re-building the connection with my true-self.
It is a magical process.
It’s beyond my belief that only after 4 sessions, my feelings towards the inner-self, people around me and the outside world has radically changed.
At the end of the 4th session, Stephen asked me how I felt about the meeting, I was in tears and could not put into words how I felt.
On the same day, I painted this ‘Phoenix rising from the ashes’.
Yes, ‘reborn’ is how I felt!
Resolving marriage issues was my only goal, but what I am achieving is far beyond that.
It’s a salvation!
Not only have I understood who I really am as a person and connected to my core values, all aspects in my life have been revolutionised and the change is profound.
I was even able to apply my learnings to help family and close friends with their life issues, emotional distress and establish closer and more loving relationships with them.
The way I perceive and handle challenges and difficult situations at work has been re-engineered and I have become more confident, courageous and creative than ever.
Most importantly, the communication and connection between my husband and I had a total reset.
Quoting my husband’s words ‘Your improvement is significant and the progress is phenomenal!’
A couple of days later, he joined the programme!
I have always been proud of my achievements both academically and professionally, but I was never taught how to improve the ability to be happy and how to take control of my personal life.
Stephen has opened the door and introduced me to the knowledge and skills I need to build and nurture successful relationships with myself and others.
Both my husband and I are looking forward to continuing this journey with Stephen and uncovering more possibilities in our lives.
