One of my clients at the top of his career came looking for help with one part of his life he was struggling with. He was having problems with his relationship and was desperate for help. He sent me an email wanting to share with you his experience of working with me.
His email started this way.
Hello Stephen
I drafted a comment about your excellent assistance some time ago. I am trying to convey that while someone can be well educated this does not extend to relationship education and intelligence.
He went on to write the following for you…
I am supposed to be intelligent and successful, yet feel I know little about creating a wonderful relationship. Of course, this deficiency has a serious impact on quality of life, but thanks to Stephen’s help I am finally starting to learn about that which is essential to being truly happy. It is uncanny how Stephen always seems to understand both perspectives in a relationship and immediately offers helpful advice. He has made a huge difference in my relationship intelligence.
This gentleman is not alone, there is very little education on how to build a successful relationship. Most parents don’t really know so are guessing and our education process is no help either.
The simple truth is men and women struggle to understand each other and that’s because no one has shared just how different we are. So like this gentleman you can have more money than you know what to do with, you can be at the the top of your game professionally, but unless you know how to create the one thing you can’t buy, a fulfilling relationship most of us will feel that something is missing or be in emotional pain.
What’s important is we have all been given the gift of intelligence and so we all have the ability to learn about each other so we can connect in a way which make sense.
A successful relationship can be yours all you need is the desire to learn just like this gentleman.
